Dr. Gbemisola Animassawun combines Peace research and Practice as a lecturer in the Centre for Peace & Strategic Studies and Project Consultant to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Nigeria. He has published in reputable local and international Journals such as the African Security Review; the Canadian Journal of Peace & Conflict Studies and International encyclopedia on revolutions and protests edited by Immanuel Ness and authored instructional texts on Peace & Conflict Resolution for the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Gbemisola has won research grants nationally and internationally from reputable institutions like the Tertiary Education Development Trust Fund of Nigeria (TETFUND), Institute for French Research in Africa (IFRA-Nigeria) and the African Peace-Building Network (APN) of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC). His research interests are Peace Processes; Autochthony & Fault Line Conflicts; Human Security; Neopatrimonialism; Inter-Faith Relations; Radical Islamism; Protests & Popular Revolts and Impeachments.
