Souleymane Bachir Diagne’s L’encre des savants : réflexions sur la philosophie en Afrique (Dakar: CODESRIA and Paris: Présence Africaine Éditions, 2013) has been translated into English by Jonathan Adjemian and published by CODESRIA as The Ink of the Scholars: Reflections on Philosophy in Africa.

"The Alliance Call for Ph.D Mobility is intended to support and finance transatlantic doctoral projects of the highest quality, in all disciplines, at one of the four Alliance partner institutions.
Doctoral students are encouraged to pursue their research abroad for a period of one to three months under the supervision of a host faculty member: students from the three French institutions can complete a research period at Columbia University while students from Columbia can complete a research period at the École Polytechnique, Sciences Po, or Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonn
IAS Director, Brian Larkin, lead a research masterclass jointly organized by Sciences Po, Columbia University, the University of Ibadan and IFRA Nigeria that was held in June 2017 and again in June 2018. It brought junior doctoral students from all over Nigeria to the University of Ibadan and Kano for an intensive workshop designed to train students in the intellectual questions, methods, and writing strategies relevant for their future careers.
Morenikeji Akinade is a third year JD student at Columbia Law School. She was born in Philadelphia but raised largely in Lagos, Nigeria. As an undergraduate at Northwestern University, she had the opportunity to intern at the Lekki Free Trade Zone in Lagos, a joint venture between the Nigerian and Chinese governments.
